Thanksgiving 2020 is here. And well, looks like Fall has finally reached LA. The climate appears to be changing in LA for sure. Look at the red and yellow leaves falling. This is not usually an LA thing to get to see. But here we are. It’s beautiful.
I remembered when I got to travel to Main one September to witness a good friend get married. I was blown away at the sheer, bold, magnificent beauty of the September leaves turning red and yellow. His mother describe them as a “riotous” beauty. I’ll never forget those words. Such an app description at the time. I am thankful that we get to experience Fall in Los Angeles now. It’s a bit of a miracle really, no? And it’s most inspiring to write music seeing all this change happen before our eyes.
I am so very thankful for so many things in my life. And I miss so much hugging people. I think that I took being with people, and took hugging family and friends for granted. And with Thanksgiving 2020, with all that this year has brought, I am thankful for everything in my life. By all means, everything and everybody. I am so humbled by the grace I have received in my life. So thankful for all the angels I have met growing up in LA. So thankful for my curious mind, and every curious breath that I take.
I’m thankful the earth keeps giving and giving and giving, even though we keep taking, and taking, and taking. How much more can she give, though? We should give back, as much as we can, as soon as we can. I am thankful I am not the only one who understands this. Let’s move on this. Let’s reorient our lives to make the whole earth structure work. We can do this. Make the changes where you are, and lead all those around you.
Let’s save the earth. #savetheearth.
